Oct 22, 2016  so this has happened for a while now and it's really annoying, whenever i'm on CSGO and i'm finished playing or during when i'm playing i want to go to my home screen my screen goes completely black and i can't do anything. So whenever i alt+tab it goes blackscreen whenever i ctrl+alt+del it goes blackscreen and whenever i'm in the blackscreen the only way to get out of it is if i completely.

After a number of trials of resetting and reinstalling CS:GO, Steam and OS X I can't figure out how to reset the command line configuration on my mac. Is it saved in my steam account? It must be, since after a complete reinstall its still there. It seams that Steam Cloud keeps pulling it down. I want to reset all configuration and get everything back to default.

I solved it, below is how I did it. Disable Steam Cloud synchronization in Preferences. Delete everything in ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/SteamId/AppId and in ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/cfg. Add -autoconfig to the game launch options for CS:GO. Start the game and setup custom configuration. Exit the game. Enable Steam Cloud synchronization in Preferences. Start game and upload local configuration settings (if the dialog appears). Remove -autoconfig from game launch options. Thats about it. Ready! Thats about it. There should really be an easier way to do it. Maybe an easier method already exists?
